Auto Accidents

Both in Indiana and nationally, auto accidents happen more often than any other personal injury case.

And it seems to be getting worse. According to figures released by the National Safety Council last July, traffic fatalities increased nationally by a shocking 7% in 2015 as compared with the year before. Indiana is no exception. In Indiana traffic deaths are up by 12% or a total of 835 deaths.

The NSC goes on to say that 2015 was the deadliest driving year since 2008. Although figures are not yet complete, 2016 doesn’t look much better.

Many of these accidents are just that. Accidents. But far too many are the result of irresponsible drivers.

Statistics show that three major factors contribute to the high auto-related death rates in the U.S., speeding (a factor in 29 percent of crash deaths in the U.S.), alcohol (a factor in 31 percent of American crash deaths) and not using seat belts, car seats and boosters (a factor that contributed to 9,500 crash deaths).

When you or a loved one is injured or even killed by the negligence of another driver, we want to hear from you. At Baxter & Rose LLP we take these cases very seriously. We have decades of combined experience representing those injured in a vehicle accident and work aggressively to reach a just settlement.

It is also important to remind you of the steps to take right after your accident if you are able. First, call 911. Get help for the injured. Take photos if you can. Call your insurance company and do not talk to anyone except the police. Certainly, do not talk to the other driver’s insurance company.

Once you sit down and talk with one of our attorneys at Baxter & Rose LLP, we will determine if you have a case. Our initial consultation is free. If we believe you were injured by an at-fault driver, you can count on us to stand by your side until you get the maximum compensation available for your medical bills, damages to your vehicle and other personal items, time lost on the job, pain and suffering.

Accident victims are a huge priority for us, especially since so many of these injuries and deaths could have been avoided if the other driver had just obeyed the traffic laws.

Whether it be a car accident, a truck accident or a motorcycle accident, you can depend on Baxter & Rose LLP to come to your immediate aid by meeting at our office or another location more available to you. We always answer phone calls quickly and listen carefully, answering all your questions and keeping information confidential.
